Reply with quote | #1 | Nice to see the message board up again - I hope that it proves to be a place for some interesting discussions.
I have a general question that has always puzzled me and it has to do with the Air Force Museum.
Perhaps someone could offer an explanation as to why they persist in claiming that "after Clark developed the prototype and manufactured 13 of the vehicles, the Cleveland Tractor Co. built about 145 more" when there is no known evidence that Cleveland Tractor Co. played ANY part in the development or construction of the Clarkair.
While it seems a small point, one would think that a government museum would at least try to get their facts straight. I have emailed several times over the years and sent documented evidence that their claim is invalid, all to no avail.
Also, how many verifiable examples of the CA-1 have been uncovered so far?
Thanks

Reply with quote | #3 | Ray, how about printing out your CA1 list. Just the serial numbers so we can get a feel of where our machines fall in production. Any opinions on the total run would be interesting too.
